And of course there is the claim of the Golden tables that Joseph received from God just some 160 years ago that have never been seen by any one else or found even though this was a recent event as far as church history go's .
This church founder clearly did not read his bible before making his claims how sad .
As many who have studied his accounts have come to the conclusion he was a very confused young man this also applies to the name of the angel who ran the delivery service as he made claims of two angels and sort got things a bit mixed up but the church has settled for one angel and erected a statute of this angel at the birth place off Mr Smith that violates the first of the ten commandment's .
Mr Smith might have had a encounter with the Lord Jesus ?
We know from the new testament that Jesus appeared to his disciples and to 500 witness after his resurrection.
There a thousands of accounts of the Lord Jesus appearing in visions dreams and in a body in today’s [Check out those testimonies on you tube ] world and as a result some incredible testimony’s of conversations, conversions and other miracles happening in those accounts .
So yes there is a chance Joseph Smith did have a encounter with Jesus Christ but clearly not God the father.
Why not God the father?
Well if we look at scripture this is not possible as it tells us in the story of when Moses’ was talking with the Lord and asked to see his face.
God made it more than clear that in this human body we would not be able to see him. God declares it in the bible v 20 no man shall see me and live Joseph smith and the church have clearly missed this .
As Mr Smith did not die till a later time.
So his claim is clearly that of a false prophet how sad so many have fallen for such a claim .
Look at this account of man meeting God
Exodus 33 v18- 23
18 And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.
19 And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.
20 And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.
21 And the Lord said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:
22 And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:
23 And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.
The Lord Jesus did teach that we can see God but that will be if we repent from our sins follow him live a clean life, it will be when we receive our new heavenly body that we see our heavenly father and not before .
Note the word SHALL in the scriptures that is a promise so lets keep living and obeying him daily .
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
